It has been my honor for the past 20 years to walk with individuals and families through tough situations and to offer help and hope. I am a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor with adoption and foster care certifications, infant mental health certifications, TBRI and Theraplay training. I am also certified in EMDR therapy for PTSD, Gottman marriage counseling and have extensive experience in working with survivors of trauma. In addition, I have worked for the past 20 years, with children and adults with ADHD. I count it among my greatest privileges to sit with someone and hear their story. I stand ready and willing to listen to your story and to help you rewrite it into the story that God dreamed for you a long, long time ago.
I have a Masters Degree in Counseling & Psychology from Troy University, Trained as an EMDR Clinician, Registered as a Mental Health Counselor Intern, Certified as a Brain Health Coach through Amen Clinics, and a Certified SYMBIS Assessment Facilitator. I provide you with the tools you need by implementing psychological interventions integrating Biblical truths to help you heal from pain and hurt. I believe that each client ultimately has their destiny in their hands and through guidance and wisdom from God that destiny can be made known. Let me be the one to help you heal through your journey.
We are sojourners and pilgrims on the earth. For me, it is a gift to walk with you for part of your journey. Counseling is an opportunity for families, couples, and individuals of all ages to share their burdens. I'd like to provide an environment for you to explore your struggles and experience God's grace by integrating evidence-based practice with my faith. I hope you will take this next step so we can walk together to experience what it means to be people who are "called out of darkness into His wonderful light."
I have two passions: Helping children feel safe, cared for, and to function at their best level. My other passion is helping couples reconnect and fall in love again. Christ is at the center of all I do and I gain a great deal of satisfaction from helping people navigate the difficulties of life. I have training and experience with many different techniques as well as being a Certified Autism Specialist. I'd love to work with you and your family to provide support, encouragement, and care throughout the counseling process.
“He restores my soul...”
There are times when life takes unexpected turns that may lead us to feel disoriented, weary and in need of an encouraging word and a new vision. With a background in child education, teen ministry, and years of working with adults overcoming trauma, poverty, and broken relationships, I am humbly blessed to have the opportunity to sit alongside the still waters with those who need a time of healing and refreshing. I am trained in anxiety, depression, young adults, women’s issues, men’s issues, stress management and life balance, parenting skills and support, as well as divorce recovery and EMDR.I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your story.
Deuteronomy 31:8 "It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed."
Through a decade of service in education and teen ministry, a passion has emerged to help those in need through the healing of Jesus Christ my savior. I am a firm believer that God calls us to a career and to service that glorifies Him. He has used me to teach, lead, and guide teens, and I know His calling on my life is leading me to continue reaching those in need by helping them navigate through life’s difficulties through counseling. I have trained in several techniques of counseling including trauma, play therapy, CBT, and art-informed techniques and would love the opportunity to help you walk through difficult times.
I believe one of my purposes in life is to provide help to those in need. My life’s journey thus far has led me to work with a diverse group of individuals, and learn counseling techniques. My experience includes working with addictions, children, adults, and various mental health issues. Lao Tzu said, “Every journey starts with a single step.” For some, seeking help is one of the first steps of life’s journeys. For others, seeking help could be in a later stage of their journey. It would be a privilege to help you in your life’s journey.
The first step towards healing is often simply sharing your story with someone who will listen. That can take courage! I deeply respect each of my clients for allowing me to be a part of their growth. I served as a NICU nurse for decades and I still enjoy working with new parents in transition and assisting new moms facing baby blues or postpartum issues. I am also trained in supporting families dealing with perinatal grief. I work with individuals experiencing stress, anxiety or depression and help them find strength for their situation. I also see couples, both for relationship “tune ups” as well as those in crisis. In addition, I truly enjoy working with middle and high school students and their families and I have served in the student ministry at my church for years. Christian ministry is close to my heart and I am filled with compassion for the unique situation being a family in ministry brings. I fully believe God is the ultimate counselor and I am humbled to be used by Him in this role. I pray for each of my clients individually and specifically, and for God’s wisdom as they invite me into their journey. I look forward to listening to your story.
One of my greatest desires is to help guide people to hope and healing through God’s word and proven therapeutic techniques. It would be my honor to serve you in this capacity and to help you discover the plans and purposes God has for you.
Sometimes life doesn’t go as planned. There are times when we all need a friend, a confidant, and ally to walk beside us. Sometimes we need that person to tell us we are headed in the wrong direction, and at other times, we need that person to just listen as we work out everyday issues. At times, we all need someone to lift us up, and cheer us on, encouraging us to take one more step. I have training in numerous counseling techniques and experience working with diverse populations. I would be honored to walk alongside of you on your journey, to listen when you need an ear, encourage when you are discouraged, guide when you feel lost and to lift when you feel down.

Life can be hard, but there is healing and hope through Jesus Christ!
I’m passionate about the Lord, His Word, and His people. I consider it a true honor to be able to sit with those who are willing to be bold enough to share their story. What a gift! Being vulnerable doesn’t make you weak; it makes you courageous! Sometimes you just need someone to come alongside of you to hold your arms up when you get tired. With the Lord leading, I’d love to listen to your story and walk alongside of you as we navigate the hardships of life together.
John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
We were made to live together. We were created for community and fellowship. I believe that no one should have to face life’s ups and downs alone. God has given me a passion for walking with people through every facet of life and working with them to bring complete healing through the Holy Spirit. I have a heart for teens and young adults and have been working with teens at my church for the past 5 years. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, issues with children and teens. As Dean Karnazes says “Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must; just never give up.” I am here to journey with you no matter where you are and to help you never give up.
